Heather Roxborough, PhD

Heather joined the company in 2010 to join EV’s investment team which manages Finance Yorkshire Seedcorn on behalf of Finance Yorkshire.
She joins EV from ITI Life Sciences where she was responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities for substantial (£2-9million) R&D investments.
Her earlier career, after completing her postdoctoral fellowship at King’s College, London, saw Heather joining Unilever’s Corporate Research division, where she led a team responsible for developing new product concepts and spin-out opportunities based on cutting edge science and emerging market trends. Heather then progressed to Unilever’s Corporate Venture arm in California, where she evaluated and developed investment opportunities in healthcare and consumer markets.
Heather’s investment specialisation covers the major and emerging markets in healthcare. She has particular expertise in medtech, diagnostics, consumer products and health & wellness markets.
