He joined EV in May 2011 to work with the investment team focused on the £30million North West Fund for Venture Capital, which provides support for entrepreneurs to build high growth companies in the form of risk capital for new and early-stage start-up companies located throughout the North West of England.
Doug has been in the venture capital industry since 1993 making investments on behalf of various venture capital funds with a focus on early stage and start-up technology investments, including university and industrial spin-outs, across a wide range of sectors. Investments include Nanoco (nano-tech), Amacis (software), DxS (molecular diagnostics), Spiratech (EDA software), Metronet (wireless) and RedX (pharma).
