Client relations

EV takes pride in managing funds for institutions, public sector clients and, on occasions, high net worth individuals.

Each fund under EV’s management follows a tailor-made, long-term investment strategy, formulated by EV and agreed in advance with clients.

EV invests for a return which is carefully assessed to reflect the specific risks identified in each individual transaction. Collateral benefits may arise from particular deals - by reference to jobs created, protected, or other economic or social benefits - but, while the EV team always assess and value these benefits, they will not invest unless appropriate returns can be projected.

EV is pleased to consider further specialist fund management mandates which build on its considerable experience in venture capital, growth and equity funding, loans and mezzanine lending. EV is a deal leader, and on occasions it offers syndication opportunities to other fund managers, institutions and to high net worth individuals, in appropriate circumstances.

Investing in and building any business often requires difficult decisions. That said, there are a number of ways decisions can go, depending on whether you are aiming for short-term returns at any cost or longer-term prosperity for all. We tend to favour the latter route as in our experience a successful business is never solely about the numbers.

Let's introduce

Paul Taberner

Paul Taberner, Investment Director & CEF Fund Manager, spends his Sunday mornings training Clitheroe's Under-11 rugby union team. That's the upside; a worthy and highly rewarding pastime for which we deeply admire him. On the downside, he holds season tickets for Blackburn Rovers (well, somebody has to!).
